On March 11th, we wished a “Happy Retirement” to one of the most beloved employees to ever work at Central National Bank, Peggy Kellough. If you called into the bank or stopped by our Hwy 84 location at any point over the last 25 years, you likely spoke to Peggy. During those 25 years, Peggy served as the bank’s receptionist, greeting customers in the lobby or over the phone.

Peggy is one-of-a-kind, and we will greatly miss her kind spirit, her razor sharp wit, and her unique ability to instantly put everyone at ease.

In addition to a socially-distant retirement ceremony on March 11th, Peggy also received a surprise call on March 12th (her first day of retirement) from Matt Mosley, host of The Matt Mosley Show on ESPN Central Texas. You can listen to the call below.

Please join us in wishing a very happy retirement to Peggy Kellough.

Nothing like being greeted with a smile and someone who knew who you were and always knew where to aim you in the right direction. We will miss you so very much.
