Central National Bank, in partnership with Baylor Women’s Basketball, is excited to announce the launch of a new public service campaign designed to help Central Texans recognize and avoid common financial scams.
The campaign, titled Don’t Get Faked by Fraud, features a series of public service announcements (PSAs) that will air during Baylor Women’s Basketball broadcasts throughout the season. Each PSA highlights a different type of scam—such as phishing emails, impostor calls, and gift card schemes—and provides simple, actionable tips to help viewers protect their money and personal information.
“Unfortunately, scams are becoming more common and more sophisticated,” said Joe Nesbitt, CEO of Central National Bank. “As a community bank, we see firsthand how these scams affect our customers and neighbors. We believe we have a responsibility to help educate our community about how to spot the warning signs and stay protected. Partnering with Baylor Women’s Basketball allows us to share that message in a way that we hope will make a difference here locally and beyond.”
The PSAs feature appearances by members of the Baylor Women’s Basketball team—Bella Fontleroy, Darianna Littlepage-Buggs, and Jana Van Gytenbeek—who use their platform to encourage fans and community members to stay vigilant and informed.
“Baylor Women’s Basketball is about more than what happens on the court—it’s about being part of this community and using our platform in meaningful ways,” said Nicki Collen, Head Coach of the Baylor Women’s Basketball team. “We’re proud to join Central National Bank in helping to protect Central Texans from scams and to remind people that being informed and staying aware is a winning strategy.”
